JOBS AT MSC: July – Sept 2013 career fairs

The following blog post was written by MSC’s dedicated human resources staff, and is part of a series focused on ashore jobs at MSC – recruiting and retaining our talented workforce. This post highlights the talents of our interns. Stay tuned for more and be sure to share your feedback and ideas in the comments section.

MSC careers are some of the best in the industry. That’s because we combine job security with hands-on training and advancement opportunities. When you include federal benefits, paid leave, and the camaraderie that comes with life at sea you have a combination that will take your career further, faster.

If you are transitioning military, a commercial mariner, or new to the maritime industry, come to one of our upcoming recruitment events during the next three months to meet with a recruiter and learn more about the credentialing and hiring process and opportunities at MSC.

In addition to the many career fairs that MSC hosts we also attend several job fairs hosted by various veterans’ organizations whose mission is to help match transitioning  personnel with civilian career opportunities. You can find an MSC recruiter at these events in Charleston, SC, Coronado, Calif., and Miami, Fla.

Did you know that nearly half of MSC’s workforce is former military? The skills they learned in our active-duty Navy are in high demand at MSC. Some of our upcoming veteran/active duty career fairs are being hosted in San Diego, Calif., Charleston, SC, and Great Lakes, Ill.

If you are ready to start the process you will find our website is full of helpful information. Or you can reach out to the team of recruiters at the CIVMAR Support Center who can be reached by calling 1-888-282-1493. You can also send an email or post a message on our Facebook page.
