Celebrating Thanksgiving: We are thankful for…

Our people: Military Sealift Command’s civil service mariners crew dozens of ships in the Combat Logistics Force and Service Support Program. These dedicated maritime professionals bring years – sometimes decades – of seagoing experience supporting our nation’s warfighters.

Our other Navy partners: America’s Navy is always operating forward to protect the people and interests of the nation. Our ships deliver the supplies combatant ships need to stay mission-ready – food, fuel, spare parts, ammunition, even the mail.

Power: Naval forces worldwide provide our nation’s leaders with options for protecting and maintaining our national security. MSC helps keep those combatant ships where they belong – at sea.

Platforms: Versatile new ships like the joint high-speed vessel, mobile landing platform and afloat forward staging base (interim) USS Ponce expand our Navy’s strategic capabilities.

Presence: Our Navy team operates where it matters, when it matters. Naval forces continue to play an integral role in Operation Damayan, the U.S. military effort providing relief to the Philippines after super typhoon Haiyan.
