MV Page Arrives Southport

The Military Sealift Command (MSC) ship, MV LTC John U.D. Page, arrives at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU), Southport, North Carolina.

While at MOTSU, she will be loading Army munitions in preparation for her upcoming deployment to the Seventh Fleet area of responsibility. The MOTSU Terminal is a key ammunition shipping point on the Atlantic Coast for the Department of Defense and is the U.S. Army’s primary east coast deep-water port.

MV Page, a prepositioning asset, was delivered to MSC July 24 for deployment in support of Military Prepositioning Squadron Two (MSPRON TWO) in the Indian Ocean area of responsibility.

The ship’s namesake, LTC John U.D. Page, was an United States Army officer from Saint Paul, Minnesota who received the Medal of Honor for his actions in the Battle of Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War.
