Republic of Korea Marines Visit Military Sealift Command

The week of November 2nd Military Sealift Command hosted two Republic of Korea (ROK) Marines, Lt Col Mundo Han and Major Jae Jyun Kim, along with their escort, Major Young J. Cho, the ROK LNO from Quantico, VA.

At the Washington Navy Yard offices of Military Sealift Command, the visitors were presented briefings covering the command organization, Joint Logistics Over The Sea (JLOTS) Enabling Capabilities, and Sea-Basing Concepts & Capabilities.

Following the briefings in Washington, DC, the ROK Marines travelled to Naval Station Norfolk to visit MSC Atlantic and tour one of MSC’s Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) ships, the USNS Lummus (T-AK 3011).

The purpose of the visit was to educate the ROK Marines about MSC assets and support capabilities in order to gain a better understanding of the working relationship between them and MSC.
